Is your wireless network running slow? Are you situated in a location where there are multiple networks such as a home office or apartment building? If so here are some suggestions on how you can improve your wireless network quality.

Adjusting your wireless network channel may help improve the quality of your network connection.

First, check that you are located more than three (3) feet away from your wireless access point or router.

Next, you will need to login to your Wireless Router / Access Point settings (hopefully you remember the password or have it written down somewhere) and then change the channel.

Here is how to accomplish this on some common consumer router brands:

How to Change Network Channel on TP-Link Router

How to Change Network Channel on ORBI Mesh System

Note: Many Wireless Routers and Network Access points are usually configured for channel 1, 6, or 11 by default, causing multiple networks within wireless range to share the same channels. These channels can cause interference between conflicting networks, thus slowing down your network speeds and capacity.
